Conflict Diamonds

Heming is strongly committed to the ongoing global efforts to stop the trade in diamonds sourced from 'conflict zones'. In January 2003, the diamond industry committed to an intergovernmental agreement called the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme ("KPCS") to eradicate conflict diamonds from the world's diamond supply.

Through the industry's joint efforts well over 99% of the world's diamond supply is now certified to be from sources that are free from conflict (KPCS 2004).

Heming will continue to do its part to ensure that the diamonds we sell are certified from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with United Nations resolutions.
