Selling or part exchange

At Heming we understand that fashions change and you may wish to trade in items from your collection. We are always interested in buying unwanted jewellery items and in particular high quality antique, vintage or pre-owned pieces at our store in London’s West End. 

Heming takes pride in its reputation for offering fair prices and immediate settlement. This provides an excellent alternative to selling at auction where long lead times, uncertainty of success and high commissions present an expensive, awkward proposition. 

Typically auction houses charge sellers commission of 15% +VAT, whilst buyers are charged a premium of 25% + VAT meaning that as much as 50% of the overall value of an item typically stays with the auctioneer. Furthermore, there is likely to be a 3-6 month lead time from the moment an item is submitted through to the eventual receipt of funds; and of course there is no guarantee the item will be sold.
